“Proprietary blend” means hidden amounts
When a label lists a blend name and a single total weight instead of the amount of each ingredient, you can't actually tell what you're getting. The wording is legal; the transparency isn't there.
What a transparent label looks like
Every ingredient named. The amount of the active stated plainly. A short list you can read top to bottom without a dictionary. If you have to guess what's doing the work, that's your answer.
The short version
Fewer ingredients, fully disclosed, beats a long blend that hides the amounts. Cheaper isn't the same as clearer.
